Was seen very quickly
All staff I spoke to were excellent. The department was obviously under pressure but the staff always made you feel like you could ask questions at any point. The hospital should be proud of its A&e staff and the staff in the hot zone
I was told to go there by 111. She rang ahead and said they were expecting me. My husband dropped me off. I went to the door and was told to wait outside. I told the nurse I could not stand and it’s freezing. She just said wait. I looked around the area and found a chair across the road so I went and sat down. I was freezing, shivering I only had a thin fleece on. She came over about 10 minutes later and told me to go to the end of the building through a door. But when I got there it was locked. I waited and was just about to go back around the building when someone else came out and let me in and said you must be freezing. The whole experience was pretty poor on a customer service and compassion level. In the end when the doctor took over I got what I needed but all this takes away from that.
My daughter was admired
But there was no provision for vegan diet
Good considerate care
The waiting area felt safe with seating spaces apart and in cubicles. There was a delay and I was in a huge amount of pain. However I consider the delay only normal given how busy A&E is.
I was treated very quickly and professionally.
It was Christmas Day and I felt embarrassed about having to go as thought my ankle was broken. It was just badly sprained and I couldn’t have been looked after any better. So thank you
The triage nurse and doctor that I saw were very caring and went the extra mile to reassure me, make me comfortable.
Absolutely fantastic nurse and dr very quickly dealt with
